It's Been a While

Wow, it's been a while hasn't it! Yet again I've fallen behind and neglected this blog for a long time. I've been busier than ever with an almost endless stream of work piling up in front of me waiting to be tackled whilst I sit here trying desperately to avoid it - hence writing this post I guess!

It's the Easter holidays for me and I find myself on Thursday of week one having accomplished very little by way of work. If I get my act together I can have one of my assignments done by the end of this week which leaves me the next two weeks to tackle the other two as well as putting in my 15 hours a week for my team project.

Still, I've been having fun - which in my final year is the most important thing I think. I really don't mind at this stage whether I get a first or a 2:1 at the end of my degree because whilst a first would be nice, I only need a 2:1 to get my job at the end of it and if I'm going to be enjoying my last few months of being a student then I'd much rather do that than spend all of my time locked up in the lab or in my room slavishly programming away until the early hours of the morning.

In the music world, not a lot has happened since my last post really. Spark has released her new single Crave - which I admit I became slightly addicted to (and maybe still am a little). The best bit about this is that she has released it as a free download here.

I really can't wait for her to release an album although there seems to be no sign of a date in mind for this just yet. Adele has had huge success with her new album 21 and Rolling in the Deep and Someone like you have been massive hits allowing her to break the world record for chart positions overtaking Madonna. Someone like you is simply amazing and so beautifully performed live that it brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. I just had to include her performance from the Ellen de Generes show in the USA as it is simply amazing.

Within the last week I have been introduced to a band called East Park Reggae Collective after a friend posted a link to a free download of their new song Love Radar on facebook. Again, I've become a little bit obsessed with this too and have found myself listening to this tune several times a day. There is even a link to download it in just about any format you could possibly imagine including some lossless formats for the audiophiles out there.

Well, that's about all from me for a bit. If procrastination takes over again in the next few days then I may well be on here again very shortly. I'm in Birmingham until Easter weekend and after that I'm back to Sheffield until I finish my exams so I am unlikely to be blogging again any time soon during that period.
