2010 in a Nutshell

My how time flies. We are now well into 2011 (very nearly wrote 2010 there) and it seems like only yesterday that I was writing about 2009. I have about six months of university left before I leave for good and enter the realm of adults. If I could, I would stay perpetually in my final year forever but we have to move onwards an upwards and with a bit of luck, it will still be good fun.

Music of 2010 has been pretty good really, not quite as good as 1009 which was a bumper year for new music and new artists but for me, 2010 was quite an awakening and my music tastes broadened to include some drum and bass and dubstep.

A big surprise in this table with ELO finding there way into the table at #8 and Ellie Goulding - someone I never thought I would like at this time last year, has got in at #9 mainly thanks to Wish I Stayed, The Writer and most recently, Your Song.

Other things that happened this year, I joined TSC - which has since taken over my life and every last bit of spare time I have - and some that I don't! I've met - and worked with some famous faces, learned a new programming language, finished my dissertation, become a committee member of the Computer Science Society and started and finished my job hunt.

All in all, it has been a remarkably good year - possibly one of the best years of my life. Here's hoping that this year brings much of the same - and much much more. Happy new year all!
