Another Saturday, another Pop Tarts. This is starting to become a regular occurrence but I quite like it. My plan is to do the event so much that it becomes second nature and thus I should have a good idea as to what to do when I eventually have to Stage Manage something.
There is nothing overly exciting to report about this event although the DJ did give the crew free choice as to what was played for the first half an hour before any of the punters turned up. I requested Mr Blue Sky by ELO, one of the happiest songs from that era I know and it never fails to put a smile on my face.
On the TV front, Rory died in tonight's Dr Who! I thought that it was quite clever how they totally erased him from history so that Amy wouldn't be mourning his death for the rest of the series. That would have been a bit of a downer really. I was also thinking about whether it would be better to go that way. If you are the one mourning a loss, isn't it better to get rid of that pain? After thinking about it for a bit longer I decided it was probably better to remember your loved ones no matter how hard it is to let go. Unless you were erasing your memory of the death of someone so young that they haven't had a significant impact on your life, I can't see the benefits of remembering that you lost a baby before it was born. Saying that I have never been in that position and have no basis for that judgement.
Moving swiftly on, it is time for another single of the week. This weeks song comes from the wonderful Muse and their latest release is a bit special as it is not on their latest album - The Resistance. It is from the latest Twilight film - something I have never seen even thirty seconds of but from what I gather is something about vampires. What this has to do with Neutron Star Collisions I have no idea. Saying that, I can't imagine Muse singing about vampires... space is much more their thing.
