Despite a stupidly late night last night - I didn't end up going to bed until about 7am, I woke up at about twelve o'clock unable to get back to sleep. I also managed to function fairly well during the day until it got to about six o'clock when I could no longer keep my eyes open. A short nap later and I was wide awake once more.
How is it that with only about ten hours sleep over two days that I can still be this awake!? I won't be doing any heavy lifting or using dangerous machinery whatever state of mind my brain tells me it's in because I'm convinced that as soon as I shut the car door I would nod off at the wheel and kill someone - if not myself.
On that happy note, I shall probably end here. The day after work is usually a bit of a bum day and today is no exception. I managed to get through several hours worth of iPlayer TV and then decided to watch Alice in Wonderland.
It was a really good film although I am now starting to get slightly bored of all of Tim Burton's films including Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter. I know she's his wife but there is no need to cast her in every film he makes. Anyway, the one thing that perplexed me slightly was the Jaberwocky. For some strange reason I had it in my mind that a Jaberwocky was from the Star Wars universe. After scouring the web for any link between the two and other than Jabba the Hut and Wookies, there seems to be no other link. The stranger thing is that I appear to not be the only one who has made this non existent connection. Searching in Google for "Star Wars Ja" brings up a list of the most common searches with the fifth being Star Wars Jabberwocky. It seems that somehow many people have made this connection unknowingly and without a base in fact. Weird hey?
