Group Confusion

I have come back after Easter to find that one of the members of our group has left the course leaving us with only two people. AS there are a few other groups left in this situation, several of the groups have been merged. The problem with this is that the group we are supposed to merge with officially has three members and the group size limit is four.

I say officially because so far he has never shown up (according to his group) and so we should be able to assume we are a group of four. Cue the guy who never shows up walking through the door. Oops. Now what then? Well he can't stay long apparently and his group are getting pretty fed up of him not turning up to lectures or lab sessions and so if he doesn't turn up next week then they are disowning him. Seems fair enough to me plus four in a group means half the amount of work to do!
