Meh

A mildly productive day today in the sense that my lab partner turned up and we managed to make a start on the assignment. On the other side of things, it took us well over an hour to decipher what it was we were actually meant to be doing and to be honest I'm still not sure whether we've got it right or not.

The conclusion to Five Days was a little bit weird and abrupt I thought; but I suppose the time constraints prevented it from running much longer. Given the title I also expected the time period in the story to be five consecutive days but in the last few episodes they have moved time on by weeks and months. Other than that it was a nice - if not a little short-lived - series / mini series.

I still have very little motivation to work and despite next weeks packed timetable, I can foresee working right up until the last minute on this damned report. I really have to be in the right mood to start on these sorts of things but the good side to that is that if I am in the right mood, I usually produce some decent work. The other side is that it also has to coincide with a day that I am able to type properly. Without this crucial aspect, it takes me two or three times as long to churn out the same volume of text as it would on a good day. As it happens, I seem to have been getting a little better with the typing skills recently and have no idea why. The only way I learned to touch type (ish) in the first place was overuse of MSN Messenger and I haven't even been doing that much typing lately anyway... curious.
