Today has been a very busy day and I have been so tired that I have taken a nap in the car and in someone else's house. An earlier start than yesterday meant that I could obviously fit more into the day and my mum made sure that I did just that.
After the morning taxiing, I was off to the dentist who was very helpful and gave me some suggestions as to how I can stop myself chewing through my cheek. I also got a special single toothbrush to help clean inside my cheek which was nice.
Whilst I was in Sutton, I had a wonder round the shops and managed to pick up a few bits and bobs. It turns out I had forgotten to bring a few things home with me but thankfully nothing too expensive. I also managed to get myself a much needed pair of trainers. The old ones have gone past the annoying squeaky stage and onto the very much not waterproof and actually starting to fall apart quite a lot stage. Thankfully there is a cheap trainer shop in Sutton since the one in Sheffield shut down last year, I have been waiting to come home to buy them. It took me all of about three minutes to spot the ones I wanted as well and they had my size so either I am very lucky or there is someone watching over me today. Hrm... so that means today must be my lucky day then!
Maybe not. The next stop after lunch was to go and see my Granddad and bring him some photos mounted in a frame. Unfortunately he wasn't very well when we got there and so we left him to sleep. This consequently meant that we were about 3/4 of an hour early for our next stop at a friends house and surprise surprise, they weren't in. This is where the nap in the car comes in. Ten minutes later, the door opens and we are ushered in; turns out there was someone in but he was on the phone and couldn't answer. He then vanished to continue working and so this is where the napping in someone else's house but comes in. Whilst we waited for the other half to arrive I took the opportunity for a kip whilst listening to Come Dine With Me in the background. I have no idea how that show became so popular but it really is a genius format; although without Dave Lamb's superb comedy narration, I doubt it would be nearly as successful.
The other half did turn up at when she was supposed to and I spent the next couple of hours watching the dogs play with the squirrels whilst the 'adults' chatted.
