Beef and Potato Week

This week has become beef and potato week, for the last two days anyway. You know when you need to go shopping when you eat what is essentially the same meal two days in a row, yesterday was cottage pie and today was chilli con carne and jacket potato. Not that I'm complaining, but I'm wondering what to do for the rest of the week now because the only thing we seem to have left is beef braising steak.

It has just occurred to me that I have forgotten to choose a single of the week for this week. Shockingly it is now Tuesday so my sincere apologies being this late. I would also like to apologise in advance for the song choice but it would be unfair of me to choose anything else this week since it has been going round in my head ever since I heard it. Unlike most of the singles previously featured, this one is classed as a golden oldie rather than a spangly new song. This is partly down to the lack of decent (released) singles at the moment although the unreleased singles are getting much better so I already have some contenders for later weeks. I heard this weeks choice on Merlin Secrets and Magic (the behind the scenes show for Merlin). Towards the end of the show, Colin and Bradley who play Merlin and Arthur respectively started miming along to the chorus to the song and it got very much stuck in my head. I have a feeling I've heard it before but can't be sure anymore, the artist is John Farnham and the song is called You're the Voice.
