It seems I have recently acquired an agent for my part-time role as an IT repair man. My mum seems to have told all of her friends that I am available to fix their computers. Whilst I don't mind doing it occasionally, it's often a bit strange visiting someone else's house especially when you don't know them particularly well. The other reason why it feels strange is because I still think of myself as a kid, and being in the position where you are more knowledgeable than someone more than twice your age makes me slightly confused and slightly weird. I suppose it is a testament to me if all of these people are willing to let me fix their computers, and will put their trust in me not to make it worse or break it.
So after fixing two computers, one was for my Granddad which I end up doing every time I see him, it was a quick pizza dinner before me and mum were off to the cinema with my friend from school and her mum. We went to see G-Force and I had heard very mixed reviews about it but have been wanting to see it since I first saw the trailer. There were very few people in the room watching the film, which is surprising for a Wednesday when the majority of people now go to the cinema thanks to Orange. Mind you, the film has been out for several weeks now and I originally wanted to see it in 3D but the latest showing for that was about three o'clock which doesn't really fit in with people who work 9-5. I didn't notice any scenes that seemed particularly designed for the 3D viewing experience which was nice as I have heard that often scenes shot specifically for 3D often look very poor in 2D. I quite enjoyed the film as well and even my friend - who had seen it once already and wasn't impressed) enjoyed it as well and blamed it on being in a bad mood the first time she saw it.
I'm not exactly a film critic but as far as I'm concerned, you cannot really go too far wrong with a film about Guinea Pigs who want to be secret agents. I particularly enjoyed Darwin's brother who was by far the best character in the film and reminded me a lot of the hamster in another Disney film, Bolt which is another must see - even if it is just for the hamster.
