Anti climax

What was promising to be a more fun and activity filled day, turned out to be just the opposite. We had decided yesterday to go on another bike ride, this time the other way along the canal and into Birmingham. I was more prepared than I usually am and for once my bike was in working order and I was hoping to get there and back without incident. Well at least I suppose I managed the last bit.

The reason behind the no go was that my friends mum had decided to borrow her keys and inadvertently took the keys to the shed where she kept her bike. This also meant that if she did go out she would have had to have left the house unlocked which isn't such a good idea anyway.

The result was another long boring day, filled up by more episodes of the Hairy Bikers; which has now resulted in an urge to be creative with pastry and make a nice pie and if I can be bothered, might use up the leftover chicken and make one tomorrow.

I'm also a little bit annoyed that GMail is down again, I say again but have thus far never been affected by any of the reported outages and even though it is a completely free service, I feel somehow that I have the right to complain when it doesn't work. I've never had (to my knowledge) a problem with Yahoo!'s mail service so I don't see why GMail should be any different and I am perhaps more disappointed because it was only yesterday when I was singing the universities praises for switching mail providers to GMail.
