Many Singles from the Many Weeks

Given that the last time I did one of these was the 14th of August, I think I have been slacking a little. I haven't been paying too much attention to the new releases lately so keeping up with what has and hasn't been released is a little difficult. On top of that, I spend most of my time switching the radio on and off to avoid the horrific songs that are being played at the moment. Particular annoyances are 'We No Speak Americano' which has been played to death and I now reach for the off button as soon as I hear the fist note. If I were playing Name That Tune, I'm pretty sure I could name it in one it's been played that much.

Last weekend was Reading and so my first recommended single comes from I Blame Coco who was the fist highlight of my day. This single is the first she ever released and features Sweedish pop star Robyn. The track is called Ceaser and whilst I'm unsure as to whether or not you can yet download it, I can tell you that her album will be released early November so not too long to wait.

Next up I've gone for one of the songs that I've heard on the radio and really caught my attention. It has been described as a Marmite song (you either love it or you hate it) and I'm firmly in the love camp. It's a very unique song with very little around like it; for some it may just seem strange and for others it will be totally brilliant so here goes. I will add that I prefer the cleaner radio friendly edit but I couldn't find a video for that so, brace yourselves for Die Antwoord and Enter the Ninja.

Finally, as I didn't go and see Arcade Fire, I thought I would make my final catchup single one of theirs. It was a toss up between my two favourite songs from their new album - The Suburbs. In the end I plumped for We Used to Wait, but Ready to Start came a very close second.
