Half Way There

We are half way through grad week now and a lot of my friends have now come to the end of their university lives. It's weird seeing all classmates and friends from halls all graduating when I'm not. I kind of feel a bit left out really but then I still wouldn't want to be graduating just yet. I could quite happily stay at university for another two years I think although the second year would be a bit more difficult unless my housemates all decide to fail the year / continue studying.

Tonight's activities have been ROAR and the joys of out of term events mean that although we don't get food tokens, we get money to buy nicer food. On today's menu is pizza, cake and ice cream. To keep ourselves occupied during the event, we have two lights to clean and test. I have no idea when they were last serviced but given the state of their insides, I would guess the motherboard hasn't seen the light of day for a very long time. I don't think I have ever seen dust on this scale before and I'm surprised they haven't cooked themselves.

They are all nice and clean now though and more importantly, they all still work! The one problem with taking these things apart is when you have to put them all back together again. The number of missing screws - or in some cases, spare screws - is quite frightening. So far I haven't lost any and most of the time everything works when it is put back together. This time I had a problem with one of the sensors, only to discover that I hadn't plugged it back in. Those sorts of problems are very easy to fix though so once I'd realised my mistake it was all sorted.
