Hurrah! I have something to do over the summer! With a bit of luck, it won't actually involve that much effort but it might earn me a bit of money (provided I can deal with my conscience telling me that I can't charge my friends for my time). The same people also came round to the house not once but twice (three times even for one of them).
As the male half of their family and my step-dad returned from their trip to Spain, they had also secretly arranged to come round for dinner later. I say secretly but they have two young girls and so it didn't stay as much of a secret for long. It was also a chance for me to have a roast dinner again. Not exactly the weather for it but then I don't eat salad as you may have gathered if you read one of the first post's I wrote on this blog some time ago now. It did mean however that I ended up cooking most of it - but then I don't really mind that either.
My mini project is a video conversion project but on a much larger scale than anything I've done before. I have about ten long play videos (that's about three hours and twenty minutes each) that need converting to DVD. I'm still unsure about whether I will fit an entire video onto one DVD or not as they seem to be slightly more flexible with the duration based on the video quality. That said, three hours is longer than most movies and some of those are dual layer discs so I shall have to wait and see.
