Tonight marks the finale of the latest series of Dr Who. As I mentioned last week, it has been a mixed series in my opinion but I really enjoyed the conclusion. There was a vague hint that the whole thing might be in some way related to memories but I think they pulled it off in such a way that the solution to the seemingly impossible situation didn't seem like a cop out.
It does make me wonder sometimes if they think of the solutions before or after the disaster. A part of me thinks that sometimes they have huge plans for a storyline but no real solution to the inevitable disaster leading them to often introduce some magic device or law so that they can use the excellent initial story. I for one am willing to let this slip in favour of gripping storylines such as the one that has now been introduced for the forthcoming series next year. We will learn more about the mysterious Dr River Song who has been my favourite extra characters in the programme. Her relationship with the Doctor is intriguing and it is made even more so by the odd order that it happens in not to mention her frequent visits to prison. We may also find out the reason for the TARDIS going back to Amy's house and what brought it there, something with the power to control the TARDIS is surely a very powerful enemy.
A special mention should be given to the fez however, possibly one of the best lines of the series so far "It's a fez, I wear a fez now. Fez's are cool."
