Tomorrow I have to present a poster about my dissertation project. As such, I have devoted a large part of today to printing the poster which is A1 size and thus I have had to split the text and pictures across about ten A4 pages - which I then had to cut out and arrange to build the final poster. Tomorrow I will have to stick everything into place - hurrah! I feel like I'm five again doing collage at school.
Whilst printing the poster parts, my printer did the usual trick of being very badly behaved. Half way through printing the largest block of black text, my printer decided that it couldn't recognise the black ink cartridge. How can it not recognise the black ink cartridge when it has just printed half the page in perfect black!? Thankfully, taking it out, giving it a bit of a shake and reinstalling it worked and it continued to print. I know I don't use 'official' ink cartridges, they are far too expensive when I can get about three 'compatible' cartridges for the same price. Even if two of them don't work, you are still getting the same thing.
Tonight also marks the debut of Charlie Brookers 'So Right It's Wrong'. I ams tarting to see David Mitchell and Victoria Coren more and more in the media at the moment - not that that is in any was a bad thing, they are two very funny and clever people it just seems weird that they have become the new 'in' thing to be on these shows. Anyway, if you do get the chance, I do suggest listening to it, I always enjoy people ranting on about things of little importance, in fact I have a habit of doing that myself sometimes.
