Catchup

Having neglected this blog somewhat over the past few weeks, it is time for a massive catchup. I have been keeping a note of the events that have happened for most days and there are some days for which I have decided to write the post down on paper. I find it nicer to write the old fashioned way in bed rather than having to unplug my laptop from all its wires and carry it over and I prefer scribbling things down in the evenings rather than being kept awake by the glow of the screen.

I have about 17 posts to write in total so I think I will be spending the next few days catching up with them all but I will get there in the end. Some of the days were more difficult remember and I had to rack my brains to remind myself that they even existed. Trawling my twitter updates, calendar and internet browsing history from the day usually jogged the old grey matter a bit but some of them will be a bit on the short side and most likely bulked out with a single of the week - which I also spent about an hour compiling a list of possible good songs that were released for each missed week.

On the subject of which, brings me nicely to this weeks single of the week. Themed from yesterday it is from Marina and the Diamonds and her cover of 3OH!3's Starstrukk. She has kindly released the song recorded from her show in Norwich as a free download available at http://bit.ly/Marina-Starstrukk. I am not a big fan of the original but when you listen to her sing it, it takes on a whole new meaning and you actually get to listen to the lyrics properly rather than being disguised in a silly urban tune.

It was quite nice to reminisce about the last few weeks events although I did feel a little bit like a broken record spurting out the same old - 'worked on dissertation' again line (which then turned into 'worked on assignment'). It is a bit of a hassle having to type everything up though. You might not think it but it takes a lot of time maintaining the pace of one post a day and given that each post takes between 10 minutes and an hour plus I could be here for some time.
