Today has been surprisingly successful for a change. I did forget to add myself to the payroll for TSC but that can wait until Monday. I finally got round to doing some shopping and gave the car a bit of a run at the same time which is good. As usual, I went a little bit mad and now have enough food to last me several weeks but nevermind, that's why they invented freezers. A very noteworthy bargain though - sadly on a non-list item: a five pack of Crunchies for £1 a potential saving of somewhere in the region of £1.50.
I was shocked to find out that the whole plume of ash from the Icelandic volcano thing was actually quite real. I mean, not that I didn't believe it because that would be an amazing conspiracy but it really hit home when I had to really clean the windscreen to see out of it. Apparently Sheffield has been hit quite hard with settling ash and all of the cars are now filthy. It was about time I gave it a bit of a clean though so I suppose this is a good excuse to get round to it.
The final part of the day has been taken up with debugging and testing my prototypes. I managed to convince my housemate to test it out and what was planned as a thirty minute test session turned into a three hour lesson. I got a lot out of it though and have found a page full of bugs to fix which is good to know before I let it lose on the non-friends. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow!
Single of the week
As I had a couple of weeks without one of these, there can be two this week. As an added bonus, this one can be downloaded legally for free! The bad is Yeasayer and to be honest, I know very little about them. What I do know however is that I loved this track from the minute I heard it on the radio although I was convinced it was by the Guillemots because of the slightly bizarre and eccentric tune and similar sounding vocals.
The download link is http://www.amblingalp.com/ but I have put the video below just in case. Happy listening!
