Post Population

I was determined to attend the lecture / seminar / presentation session this morning and so with little more than four hours sleep, I hauled myself out of bed and trundled off down the hill. I managed to stay awake through the hour which surprised me and I hope I managed a half decent abstract of the second presentation. The second hour was cancelled and the presentation re-arranged for undisclosed reasons but I was quite thankful for this as it gave me time to do the morning computer routine I sacrificed for an extra half an hour in bed.

In the next lecture / lab session, we were assigned our groups for the rest of the semester in the Modelling and Simulation of Natural Systems module. I think I have ended up with a pretty decent group, a Ph.D. student studying something biology based, an advanced computer science student studying her masters and me. The other computer science student is from Libya but seems to speak amazing English so I can't see too many problems there.

The rest of the evening was a struggle to stay awake for and even with the help of a doctor (Dr. Pepper) and a lot of glucose and sugar (Lucozade) I only just about managed to stay up; and that was with a two hour nap before tea! Thankfully it was a good nights sleep though and tomorrow I should feel thoroughly refreshed.
