A Cunning Plan

Today has been a pretty boring and empty day really, as most of the day after the night before days are. I managed to write just over a page of my report which isn't anywhere near what I would have liked to have done, but I did manage to finish my third prototype flash program so at least I now have something to show my tutor on Tuesday.

Other than that there isn't really that much to report, I watched some TV, felt generally tired throughout the day and am now going to sleep far too early for a student. I really need to work out a method for catching up on the sleep I've missed without totally screwing up my sleeping patterns which seems to be far too easy. Some have suggested simply not going to sleep and trying to stay awake throughout the whole of the next day as well. In theory this is fine but I don't want to be falling asleep in my lectures and especially not when someone else in the group is doing a presentation. I can't imagine how off-putting it would be to see someone in the audience actually falling asleep when you are talking - even if some of the presentations are that dull. I suppose I could try just napping for a couple of hours, coming back home and napping a bit more and then trying the rest of the day. I might actually try that next week but perhaps on a day when I don't have lectures.

Single of the week time again and this week the winner is... Goldfrapp. Their new single Rocket is a bit of a move away from the style of old and a move towards a slightly more upbeat and dancey genre however, Alison Goldfrapp's vocals are as amazingly beautiful as ever and it's about time they were featured in this category. I am looking forward to hearing the rest of the new album when it is released.
