First Day Back

All in all, it wasn't as bad as I had perhaps been expecting it to be. There was a slight hitch with my timetable which meant that I went to the wrong room at first, admittedly not the best start to the new term, but I could have sworn they have changed the room since I last looked at the timetable. I did arrive in time however and managed to stay awake throughout the whole lecture / introductory talk which ran about as smoothly for the lecturer as the beginning of my day. It turns out I am now studying a module which is a cross between biology, economics, mathematics and computer science which wasn't what I had been expecting but could make it a bit more interesting.

I really struggled to find a decent single of the week this week and what with valentines day being round the corner, most of the artists are doing the sensible thing and waiting a couple of weeks before they release their material so that they have a chance of reaching a decent position in the charts. On the subject of which, I was most disappointed to find that Marina and the Diamonds only made it to #12 this week, beaten by John and Edward who amazingly reached #2. Has the world actually gone mad? I can slightly understand the appeal of watching them prance around on the screen, for free, but who in their right minds would part with their cash for just the noise that they make. They don't have a single shred of musical talent between them and unless someone has worked wonders in the post production - I refuse to waste four minutes of my life listening to it - I sincerely doubt it is worth #2.

So the song I eventually plumped for is Ellie Goulding with the grammatically incorrect Wish I Stayed. As with the choice of a couple of weeks ago, this hasn't technically been released as a single but is supposedly available as a free download from her website here but I am yet to receive anything since signing up a couple of weeks ago and had to use other methods to find the song. On the basis that she is giving it away for free, I see no harm in that. I can't find any official video for this one so I'm going to try something a bit different and put the link to a we7 stream on here instead, enjoy!
