Revision

I am actually finally starting to get serious with this revision lark now and today is the official start to a week and a half of slogging away with papers all over the desk. Okay so I might have to take a few breaks here and there to keep my sanity but so far it's looking promising. Despite wasting a lot of today trying to reincarnate some of my previous attempts to write a flash cards programme to help me learn a lot of very similar formulas, I think I have managed to memorise a couple and all I need is a couple a day for a week and they should all be stuck (until exams are over when I inevitably forget everything that I have learned in the last six months).

On the plus side, it turns out that flash isn't all that hard to get your head around if you take the time to look through it and Google everything you get stuck on. I think pretty much anyone could be a programmer if they know how to use a search engine, all you have to do is type in the problem you are having plus the name of the language and you will probably find that someone else has exactly the same problem as you and that someone very helpful has posted a reply with a good solution. Okay so maybe they will have to stick to very simple programs but starting out with very little knowledge of actionscript other than this, I was able to make a crude series of cards with the question and buttons to reveal the answer and a hint. The most difficult bit was the answers because they are all formula. I ended up having to make them into pictures taken from a PDF of my word document and reveal the pictures rather than simply editing an answer text which would have been a lot easier.
