Exciting news today, the trailer for Toy Story 3 has been released and it looks amazing. It might take a bit of getting used to though because Andy is all grown up and about to go to college but I'm sure I'll get over it quick enough. I searched high and low for a trailer to embed but they all have embedding disabled. There are three trailers in total which can be seen on YouTube here for the teaser trailer, here for a first look trailer and below for the real trailer.
The first place I found these was on the iTunes movies site but since I refuse to install Quicktime, I was unable to watch them. I really don't understand why people insist on using the mov format when it can only really be viewed in one program. So anyway I managed to download the second trailer and stick it on here for you to watch, it took me quite a long time so I hope you enjoy it!
In the world of work, I have finally finished my flash/MATLAB hybrid prototype and am now set to start making the rest of them if I get the go ahead from my tutor on Monday. The basic premise is to write code to sort two sets of dots, blue and red onto the correct side of the table, one colour on each side. The difficult bit is analysing the code because there are hundreds of different ways to do the same thing. In the end I decided that I would just animate the answer by moving the dots to the coordinates given at the end of the users code. This does mean however that they could just type in the coordinates and not actually write any code, but that defeats the object of it really and is of no benefit to them.
If you can't visualise what I am talking about, here is an illustration.

It looks a bit simplistic at the moment, but when I am waiting until it has the approval of my tutor and the focus group before I start tarting it up. I don't want to spend ages on it only to find that everyone thinks it's useless.
