An odd title, yes, but all will soon become clear. I suppose that is one of the nice things about this blog, it can combine several different topics effortlessly in one post. Much like the One Show I suppose. More work again today but at least it is all over now - or so I thought. After competing the work I had planned to do and still having no luck getting the program to work, I decided it was too late and needed to tidy it up and write the documentation for handin. As I read through the handin instructions, I see that he has extended the deadline to the 1st of February! Other than that small sentence on the page, there has been nothing else to tell us of the change and he made it quite clear at the end of last year that the date he had set was the last allowable date for coursework submission by the department. Well clearly that has somehow changed but it would have been nice for him to tell us that - I could quite easily have missed it and gone on thinking that today was the deadline and miss out on the extra week.
It doesn't really matter now anyway because I decided to hand it in as it is and start concentrating on my revision. My thinking behind this is that I could quite easily spend another week playing and tinkering and frankly getting nowhere - ignoring the revision. That would mean that not only have I done badly in this assignment but I also lose out in the exams - something I think I stand a much better chance of getting decent mark in (assuming I revise sufficiently). I do still have the chance to change my submission before it is marked so if in the off chance that I do have some sort of brainwave during my sleep, I have the opportunity to change it but somehow I see the chances of that happening being very very slim.
In more important news, I took the opportunity whist shopping to replenish my sweetie box which has remained disappointingly empty during the holidays - although with it being Christmas there was little point in filling it what with there being chocolate and goodies spread throughout the house. Luckily, KitKats and Twix bars were on special offer at the co-op as were Double Deckers so I think that should keep me going at least until the end of exams now. I did also buy some fruit in an effort to balance out the treats - grapes and kiwis for a change. Perhaps this year I might start aiming for the elusive five a day again. Although setting a target that is generally unreachable is probably worse than not setting a target at all, in fact the thought of not meeting the target each day probably causes some psychological problems. Maybe not but I am sticking to that as my excuse.
