Well that wasn't too bad then. As the day draws to an end, a decision has been made as to our place of residence next year. In the end, my preferred choice won with a 4:2 majority so I'm happy and tomorrow we will try and get the official seal of approval from the agents.
NMTB this week was a bit of a let down and opinions seemed to be very much divided on Dermot's performance. To me it seemed like the Beeb trying to jump on the success of ITV's XFactor by tailoring the show to a similar format. Not sure it worked. On the plus side, David O'Doherty was particularly amusing and I've not seen him on many shows before so I might just have to rectify that, I thought his caterpillar was especially impressive. Never been a big JLS fan so wasn't especially fussed about Aston but thought that Russell and Michael made a good contribution and enjoyed Michael and Phil's duet to Don't Stop the Beat - a guilty pleasure of mine.
Waterloo Road got a it deep today with Chris being accused of paedophilia and Lindsay finally telling Rachel about her dad. I still think she has more to tell, and when she kept saying that it was all her fault, I reckon that means she killed him. Not as big a deal with the Steph and Jo storyline though which was a bit rubbish, I was expecting her to come out and be ridiculed by the school and then leave, at some point Rachel, Steph and Kim are leaving so they have to be written out at some point.
Brilliant QI this week although not sure about the American guy, he didn't seem to do much, I didn't know who he was, he wasn't that funny and he won! Sandi and Bill were tying for funniest panellist this week I thought which gives a huge amount of credit to Sandi for even being in the same league as Bill who normally soars above the rest.
Gavin and Stacy was a bit better this week because it didn't suffer from the same promo spoiling as last weeks episode. The only bit I;d seen was Stacy's moan about the Korma in the cars so the rest of the episode was all new. I think the character of Nessa has got worse this series though, she was a sideline part in the previous two and as 'cracking' as she is, it should have stayed that way so that every line she said was deserving of a laugh.
