It happened again...

It happened again, I found myself sitting in front of the TV watching Come Dine With Me. It's become a sort of guilty pleasure of mine and I find it strangely addictive. I guess it's one of those things where you watch a programme about other people to sort of laugh at them and mock them secretly in a way that makes you feel better about yourself because of how messed up these people are.

It seems that cookery based programmes have become the replacement for my university lectures during these holidays and I'm now just hoping that I haven't wasted all of this time and have actually picked up some useful tips from them. I don;t think I'll be copying anything from the Come Dine With Me contestants however, especially some of their more extravagant tastes such as luxurious seafood and caviar which one guy paid £125 for! He came last by the way, which just goes to show that money isn't everything.

I had some left over batter from the yorkshire puddings from dinner and decided to put it to good use by making pancakes. I still can't understand how something made from flour, egg and milk can taste so good and create two very different dishes. We sent the boy (my brother) out to the shops to get some ice-cream to put in it but I think it will be a while before I'll be eating that again if the weather carries on the way it is at the moment. Good god! It actually looks like we might have a rather nice week next week and as of the time of writing this, the BBC forecast shows all sunny spells and not a drop of rain. Perhaps the weather will be kind enough to let us have another bike ride before we all depart to uni again.

Speaking of which, most of the day has been spent trying to find room in my boxes to put all of my stuff that has been taken out whilst I've been home. For some reason I seem to have picked the biggest boxes to find new homes for rather than the smaller things that fit in rather more easily.
